When looking at the scale of the in the infinite vastness of space and time, Peter’s own high school prom and graduation hadn’t really been all that long ago. But so much had happened since that it was extremely hard to remember that. Besides, the world had been rocked pretty hard by the Invasion of New York just a few weeks before, and his relationship with Gwen had been, at the time, not in a particularly good place. So, all things considered, it wasn’t really a fond chapter in his life, or one he wanted to look back on. But it wasn’t like this school dance was triggering any of those bad memories or anything, and he was having a fine time talking to Teddy, and seeing a few of his friends from around Potts Tower. He was a little bit surprised that Altman had asked him, and then he spent a bit of time trying to argue himself into, and out of, what the gesture might have meant, but when Teddy’s ex boyfriend showed up at the dance, he figured out pretty quickly what was probably going on. He knew that Teddy would probably want as many people around as possible to put a barrier up if need be, and Peter could do that. Heck, he could make a physical barrier of spiderwebs if need be. He was good like that. At the moment, Teddy was off talking to one of his other friends, leaving Peter alone by the punch bowl. Parker couldn’t help but think about Harry, and what his next move needed to be in response to that. He knew that he had to do something, now that he was sure that Osborn was alive and, seemingly, at least somewhat okay, he had to do something. But he wasn’t sure what. There was no way for him to track down where Harry was or what was going on, but that didn’t stop him from feeling guilty about being out here and trying to enjoy himself when Harry was, more than likely, still in a lot of trouble. |
