Rogers carried a tray from the bar back to the table where he and Sif had set up. They made quite the eye-catching pair, him decked out in his uniform, and her with her amour. A sword lay across their table beside his helmet and his shield sat proudly in one of the unoccupied chairs. He liked to think that he put up decent fight, and had by no means held back, but to his disadvantage, he wasn't used to depending against a sword, or someone with her level of skill. And he had a large bruise on his left arm where she'd hit him with the broad side of her weapon to prove it. But, his serum insured that he would heal quickly, and the bruise and all other evidence of how badly she'd beaten him would be faded by morning. He hadn't yet gotten the opportunity to spend much time with Sif, since his arrival in this realm. His work with the Avengers, and keeping Bucky Barnes out of trouble, took up a great deal of his time and it meant he often overlooked social opportunities. But, he was always interested in making new friends and getting better acquainted with his allies, especially someone as skilled and impressive as Sif. Back home, he and Thor had gotten along quite well, so he hoped it carried over in this situation. He had a good feeling, though, given their good humour and high spirits during the fight. He carried four drinks on the tray. His experience told him that one wouldn't be enough to quench Sif's thirst, and because the serum kept him from getting even slightly tipsy, he saw no reason why he shouldn't do his best to keep up with her here, as he'd done on the battle field. He sat the tray down carefully and slid into the seat across from her with a smile. "Well met, Lady Sif." |
