If there was anything that Mary was gifted at, it was being a diplomat. She was her father's daughter in that sense. She knew how to work with people all over the world and how to make everyone feel comfortable, no matter who the people present were. When Anders began asking her about the traditions of Easter, Mary smiled softly and appreciated his curiosity on the subject. It was one of the reasons why she'd invited him. She was also curious to know more about his healing magic.
She was impressed with what he knew already about the situation and nodded in agreement. "You are right, Anders," she remarked, with a hint of pride in her tone as she spoke. "There's more to the story, but I'm not a preacher. In my time, only those who took the cloak could share so much information about the Bible. To do otherwise is considered blasphemy." She knew Lady Anne read the Bible on her own time and shared her knowledge with her ladies. It was something she'd disagreed with, completely.
Upon seeing her great uncle approach, however, Mary turned to face him politely. She was grateful for his further explanation of Easter than what she could give. "Thank you, Your Majesty," Mary remarked softly. "Your words are true and wise. And I suppose not, though my descendent is on the throne now, though she bears Elizabeth's name. Her Majesty is now Elizabeth the Second."
