The proper greeting she gave him made him feel a little uneasy. It wasn't that it was an unwelcome greeting -- quite the contrary, in fact -- but it was one he wasn't exactly used to. Back home, such greetings were granted primarily to the royals and nobes. Certainly not to mages, and most certainly not to apostates.
He did his best to keep the look of discomfort away from his face as he offered a slight, polite smile. Anders took a quick glance around, then brushed some rogue strands of hair from his face before he looked back to her.
"I should be thanking you for even inviting me," he said. "But since you mention it...I admit I'm a little confused about what exactly Easter is. I've read a bit of what I could, but I'm afraid it's still...unclear. Jesus was a -- a prophet? And he gave his life to atone mankind for his sins, and then rose again?"
It all sounded ridiculous to him, to be perfectly honest. While he wouldn't have called himself a religious person per se, he was Andrastian nevertheless. Her tale was familiar to him, and to think that there was something so similar and yet so wildly different in so many ways was, honestly, quite baffling.
