The pain was intense, beyond anything Vanessa could have even imagined before now. Her first thought was that one of the Followers was doing this to her, but how? She knew they could get inside her head, but there hadn't even been a warning. Even now, she couldn't feel the telltale pulsing of her moon amulet warning her of danger. Vanessa tried to hold onto that, tried to calm herself down, but the pain was too much. She could feel her molecules separating and she was powerless to stop it. She tried desperately to hold herself together - afraid she wouldn't be able to make herself visible again once she went, but it was a losing battle. By the time the pain stopped, she was nothing more than a fine mist. The room she found herself in was filled with people and they seemed puzzled. By all their data, there should be a person here, but of course they couldn't see her. Vanessa giggled. She couldn't help it. It was stupid for her to do so, because of course they heard her. They knew she was there now. With a sigh, she concentrated on pulling her molecules back together. Her instincts told her they weren't a threat, oddly enough. "Um, hi," she greeted them nervously once she'd taken form again. "I think I'm a bit.. lost. Can you tell me where I am, exactly?" That sounded stupid, too, and she really wished Serena was here to tell them what was going on in their brains. She still had her own power, but she was so much stronger when her best friends were there with her. Sometime later, Vanessa found herself standing in front of room 1505 with a key in her hand. She has one hell of a headache after being poked and prodded and questioned. Her head was swimming with the reality of it all. She had somehow ended up in 2013? This was insane. And it had been far from pleasant. If she was going to travel through time, she definitely preferred Catty's tunnel. Catty. Vanessa really hoped she was okay. She hoped all the girls were. She knew their powers were weaker when the weren't all there together. She worried about what would happen to them if she couldn't find a way back. With a sigh, she slipped her key into the lock and made her way inside. Maybe everything would see better after a nice, hot shower. |
