Skye stood there in stony silence, sending an occasional glare his way. This was a man who had been her SO, one whom she had trusted and respected. One whom she had even thought she might have more with. Ward's admission that he was interested had been a surprise, but it wasn't, at the time, a completely unwelcome one. All of that was in the past now, though. Had any of it even been real? Any of it? Skye found herself questioning his every word and action. Everything he had said, everything he had done. Even now, if she let herself dwell on it, the knowledge that he was HYDRA, that he had been playing them all along, made her want to throw up. She still wasn't quite sure how she had even pulled herself together long enough to pretend she wasn't onto him. Even now, she wasn't sure going with him had been a good choice, but then again she hadn't really had a lot of options.
The attempt to get away from him had pretty much been a bust and the worst part was that she'd basically tripped her hand with him in the process. Skye's mind whirled with thoughts of another plan. What would May do? Kick his ass all over this bus, probably. Not for the first or last time, Skye wished she had May's skill. Ward had trained her, but not to a point where the student surpassed the master, not even close. That meant she had only her wits to get her out of this mess, but that was fine, too. Skye was good at thinking on her feet.
"Are you kidding me?" she questioned him now, partly to stall and partly because she really wanted to know. "You lied to us, all of us for how long? You made us trust you and you think that's not personal?" It was completely personal and if she thought she had a chance, she'd vow to personally kick his ass. One thing was clear, though. There was no way in hell she was giving him the data on that drive. She'd die first.
