"Listeners I know you've all heard the news reports. Captain America, wanted fugitive. We have all had that moment of disbelief. Here is a man that we have all be taught to revere. Steve Rogers is more than a man he is a legend. Or should I say was a legend. With his reawakening into the 21st century Steve Rogers has been working hand in hand with SHIELD, an organization that's sole mission is to keep us safe. I know many listeners in New York have seen various heroic acts linked to the battle of New York. For all intents and purposes it looked like this man actually lived up to the legend. Until yesterday. Yesterday we learned that the Steve Rogers we thought we knew doesn't exist. He's a man who has allowed fame and glory to get to his head and has turned traitor to the very country in which he swore to protect back in World War II! Various reports are coming in of terrorist actions, thoughts and plotting of sedition, and possibly even attempts at the lives of our service men and women who serve us tirelessly at SHIELD! What could have caused such a drastic change? Or has this always been there, we were all just too blinded by our super soldier to see it! I'm turning it over to you listeners. I want to hear what you have to say about our fallen hero, who doesn't even have the dignity and honor to turn himself over to the authorities for his crimes! Innocent men don't run, Captain Rogers!" First up, we have Olive Digglesby from Baton Rouge, LA. Olive "Dash, I just think it's a awful shame. Though I suspected he might be untrustworthy when they painted him as an idol in the Smithsonian Institute of Liberal Propaganda" "I went to see that exhibit myself and I will admit I had a moment of being blinded. The man became a legend for a reason. But the folks on Capitol Hill could only keep us blinded to what his true intentions were for so long. I'm guessing that the shock of the future was too much for him" "Oh, I agree, he was a hero during against the nazis. But maybe there was some damage when he was thawed out." "Who knows. Rogers doesn't have a public profile even close to what he did in the 40s when he seemed like a man we could all know and trust. If something didn't come back right he could have been hiding it this entire time. Thanks for calling in, patriot." "Thanks for taking my call. God bless!" Next Marcus Zeller from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Marcus. "Dash I really just have one question. If global warming is real then how was Captain America trapped in the ice for so long??" "Those are the kind of questions we need answers to. And was Captain America even frozen to begin with? Who knows if his 'official' story holds any water. 70 years is a long time for someone to go missing. It just leads to more questions, faithful listeners." [Dash is now open for calls! Now remember calls are prescreened by the station before being sent through to Dash. Calls will last from one to five replies before Dash moves on to the next caller. If you disagree with him he will be rude, he will yell, and he will cut you off and move on to the next caller but hey that's part of the fun! So have at him callers!] |
