There was no way to get around it. Willow was avoiding Tara. Willow had never broken up with anyone before - well there had been Oz, for Tara, but Willow had been with Tara for a good amount of time before Oz had just randomly shown up in town again. Willow hadn't been with JD...but things had been progressing...and just like before with Oz, Willow knew she was going to have to tell Tara the truth. No matter how much it hurt both of them. It did feel like a cosmic slap in the face to Willow - to finally be moving on from someone she loved so deeply to then have that person thrown in her face. There had to be a lesson here somewhere, right? To keep from procrastinating further Willow immediately set out for Tara's apartment once she was back in the tower - she'd just finished locking up Widdershins for the night, and a little extra time going over items. The elevator ride seemed too quick, Tara's door seemed too close, she felt like she was moving too quickly...but once she was outside Tara's door she just stood there. Explanations had been running through her mind, reasonings for her actions, apologies and pleas - all gone now that she was standing at Tara's door. A deep seeded urge to wipe Tara's mind was bubbling in her chest, though she knew on so many levels how wrong it would be. It hadn't been a simple spell last time and it wouldn't be this time. No. Magic wasn't the answer for this. She knocked lightly and when the door opened Tara wasn't met by the lopsided grin and mousy looks of her clumsy girlfriend, but rather slumped shoulders and a apologetic expression, "Tara..." she started, before Tara could say anything. "Can we...just...I need to talk. Can we talk?" |
