Who: Veronica Mars and Lilly Kane What: A surprise reunion Where: Veronica and now Lilly's apartment, Pott's Tower When: After Veronica and Sam's conversation, after midnight Jan 1st Rating:Low, though there might be some swearing in shock! Status: closed; in progress
As Veronica made her was down to her apartment from the roof of the tower, she had a small smile on her face. Sure, she was still in a world that was very similar to, yet not quite her own. Yes, she was still here without her father and her best friends. But, as she stepped out of the elevator and made her way down the hall to her apartment, at least she wasn't lonely anymore. She had some friendly faces (some even were the same face as her own), and now, in Sam, she was certain she had a friend. It felt good to share with him, to talk about things, and feel connected to another person. Sam had his own demons, yes, but all interesting people did. She certainly had demons of her own. She took her key out of her pocket, and thought of her own demons. It had been a while since she had seen the apparition of Lilly. Not since that last day when she'd dreamed of her before her graduation. She was worried-would being here make her forget her purpose? Would she forget Lilly in the absence of constant reminders of her? She knew the answer was no. She was who she was because of Lilly Kane, and nothing would change that.
She stepped into her small, efficient apartment, and immediately noticed something was different. Her body stiffened, as she went into high alert. Someone was in her apartment. Something was different. She inched slowly towards the chest of drawers in her livingroom and grabbed the only weapon-like thing she could find-a huge decorative vase. Great, I'm going to stop a robber with bad taste and a keen wit?? She cursed herself for not yet getting another stun gun. But she was sure the vase could do some damage if need be, so she held it aloft as she made her way towards the bedrooms, panic welling in her chest.
"Hello? Who's there?" she called, then instantly regretted it. Oh sure, the robber was just going to pop his head out and say "I'm here to rob and rape you!" Veronica was ready. She'd fought off worse before.
