[Filtered to Mutants]
We have all suffered tremendous losses in the past few weeks, there is no denying that. And we should mourn our losses, for they cut deeply. But I hope that I am not alone in feeling that it shall take more than a Tesseract to tear apart the X-men.
We are a family and a team and we shall stay together while we are in this world, regardless of what it throws at us. I realize not everyone on this filter is or has been an X-man, and you may not consider yourself to be one, but know that you are welcome among us as well. Should anyone need or like to talk, my door is always open (though a small aside, I will be out of the country at the end of next week).
In other news, the House is coming along and will continue to do so. In the past few weeks we have made significant progress in removing the trash from the site and assessing repairs that need to be undertaken. I would like to propose we take a weekend "retreat" as it were to focus on the House. Whether you view this as distraction or occupation, I think it might be a little of both.
In November and December, it is my hope that we can bring in an electrician, plumber, and construction team to renovate, but any work we can do beforehand will help keep this at least somewhat affordable. Sage, I will leave you in charge of communicating our electrical needs. If anyone is not up to date on their Tetanus vaccination, you can get one for $35 at Mobile Health in Brooklyn. They are open until 2 pm tomorrow.
It is uncertain how long any of us shall be here, but I would like, and I think Logan wished as well, that we could see it as home while we are.
With the Tesseract's comings and goings of late, I will admit my attentions have been focused on my own team.
But I hope yours is no smaller than it was. How are you managing?
