Steve Rogers,
My name is Gertrude “Gert” Yorkes. I am seventeen, and in my world I am the leader of the Young Avengers. My world is very different from this, mostly, as I’ve figured out, due to time travel. I actually understand time travel very well, it is dimension crossing that is still boggling my mind slightly, that’s a different issue.
In my world the team known as the Runaways are the Young Avengers, I don’t know if you’ve had any run-ins with them in this reality, but I know the team (in their reality, not mine) have had run-ins with that world’s Captain America. This isn’t confusing at all. As it stands the Runaways of the other world are wary of Captain America, and though I tried reaching out to him, I feel he may have a predisposition when it comes to the group—even though I did inform him that I am, technically, not part of this specific group.
For that reason I feel it would benefit me to speak with you on the topic of further training in the Avenger fashion. Though I am growing fond of the people that I should know and call my team, they lack the spirit and drive my team has. I enjoy sparring with them, but I am still a young leader myself and need someone to help continue my growth as a leader before I can command a whole new group of newbies that do not take this sort of thing nearly as seriously as I have come to.
I realize I am assuming a lot here, as I have no idea what world you come from or who you are in your world, but I am confident in my assumption that any Steve Rogers from any world is of the same caliber as the man I was beginning to look up to.
If you have the time and would be willing, I would formally like to request your help in training, and of course I am more than willing to answer any questions you may have.
Thank you for your time,
Gertrude Yorkes
