Counting down the hours until the reign of forced cheer, mercenary shopping tactics and annoying music is over. In the meantime, a toast to Irish eggnog and endless mugs of Chai Toddy. Happy fucking holidays. Cheers.

[FILTERED TO KILLIAN JONES]

Rumpelstiltskin thinks you're going to attack Belle to get to him. You're not. Don't make me wrong about this, Killian.

If I thought it would accomplish the goal I am working toward, even your censure could not stop me, Jefferson. However, there's nothing to gain at this point other than the ire of everyone around me. Except perhaps, Amber. She seems to enjoy a good show.

You've been talking with him?

I'd like to think you're a better man than that. At least, you were once. But it's been a long time and I know you've done some that changes a man. You are right about the ire, though, and it wouldn't destroy him. He lost her once and it didn't end him.

No. Swan has.

I'm far from being a good man, or even a better man that that. No, I want to strike straight to the monster, and it turns my blood cold to go after a woman simply to revenge on him. No doubt she's warned him about the run-in we had some time ago.

Typical. She can't keep her nose out of anything.

I'll hold out a little hope, nonetheless. Hate gets tiresome after awhile and eats away at your insides. I would know.

She's the Savior, don't you know? Anyway, apparently she was looking to find out if he had his powers back. Which he does. Food for thought.

Don't waste it on me. I prefer to think of myself as having renewed purpose.

Yes, I'm sure she was. Did she listen to his sob stories about how I stole his wife and he's the innocent one in all of this? She seems to enjoy taking pity on anyone that's not me.

Nope, sorry. I do what I please, no matter if it's a waste of time.

You're starting to sound a little self-pitying there, Captain. I'm not saying you're wrong, but still. As far as I can tell, she seems to be concerned most with protecting Belle. I pointed out that Gold is about as manipulative and dangerous as they come, but I think she means to stand in between you two, anyway.

Including sharing wisdom instead of alcohol. Shame on you.

Am I not allowed? Is this a "I need no pity from anyone" zone? Because I bloody well like it when people are on my side.

She would be an idiot to stand between us. But then, I wouldn't put it past her. Savior and all.

You're mad I didn't offer you a toddy? Really?

I'm sort of on your side? I'd rather you didn't get your heart ripped out or end up in prison for life. That's nearly the same thing. Look, just forget about Swan and don't do anything stupid.

If you're not careful, someone might think you're an alcoholic, Jefferson.

Sure. About as much as I like stabbing myself in the eye with sharp objects.

Though, I do feel a certain amount of pity for the one outside my work. He's been there off and on for weeks and anytime it rains, he looks just a little closer to dying a miserable death.
