I died, fled my body, took up residence in a human woman's womb, and was born into the body of her son. One of my acquaintances has died twice, once before he was scheduled to do so, and thus revived by trials set to prove his worthiness, the second time under circumstances which awakened the ancient blood of his demon forefather and returned him to life as something more than human, but not quite demon, either.
