Clark gave Lois a look. "I don't think it matters what day we get married, Lois," he said as he walked them toward city hall. "We wouldn't have gotten married anyway had the tesseract not grabbed us, so anything's better than it not happening at all, right?" That's right, Clark, he thought to himself, put a better spin on it. He'd watched the finale of their TV show just the other day, actually, just to check and see what their wedding would have looked like. Of course, he was shocked to see it hadn't happened. Shocked even more to see what did happen.
"Let's choose not to believe in superstitions. Today's as good a day as yesterday and as good as tomorrow, too. We're here, we have the license, we have a witness waiting for us. Let's just do it."
