Alec was more than grateful that his friends weren't reading up on him. It was one thing trying to get to know someone and a completely different thing trying to get to know someone who already knew the worst things about you. Alec knew his own flaws, he just never wanted another Clary-esque confrontation about them any time soon.
Lips curving into a frown, Alec took in Kurt's appearance. He looked tired, bone tired, and Alec couldn't help but wonder what had gotten him to whatever he was feeling right now. He somehow felt like he could relate but he had no idea how he could considering he had no idea what was going on. Taking the cup of coffee, he uttered a thank you and left it black. As much as he loved lattes and fancy coffee-based drinks, he liked his actual coffee the way it came.
"In general, too, but we can start there," Alec replied, suddenly not wanting to know what had happened with TJ but staying rooted to his seat all the same.
