Since the day they had run into one another in the park, Obi-Wan had spent a good deal of time talking with Laura Roslin. He found her to be a fascinating woman and enjoyed discussing politics with her. Obi-Wan had always been interested in learning about the customs and governments of other civilizations and Laura's stories about the twelve Earth colony, the Cylon War and how the Galactica had set out to find Earth intrigued him a great deal. In turn, she'd listened to him talk about the life of a Jedi Knight, the rise of the Empire and had most importantly let him talk about Anakin and all that happened between them. As they had shared their stories with each other, Laura had also talked to him about Bill Adama and her feelings for him so when he had seen the post on the network from someone with that name, Obi-Wan had been curious to know if he was the same person he'd heard about. However he hadn't been sure how to bring it up to Laura and was beginning to be concerned when he hadn't spoken with her in several days. Not one to push, Obi-Wan was going to wait until she contacted him which she finally did. Even without being able to sense her through the Force, he knew she was upset and thus offered to lend an ear. Over the brief time they'd known one another, he had come to consider her a friend and was pleased that she had accepted his offer. After she had said that she'd come over, Obi-Wan had put water on to boil for tea and gotten together some cups and a plate of cookies. The food here was still something of a novelty to him and he'd found himself addicted to chocolate chip cookies. He was also amazed by the many varieties of tea one could find here and had chosen a couple of different kinds so that Laura could choose one that she liked. He had just taken the cookies into the living room when he heard the knock on his door and he put the plate down and walked over to answer it. "Hello Laura," he said with a smile when he opened the door. "Come in, have a seat. I was just getting things together for tea. I have something called raspberry zinger and one called chamomile. Personally I rather like the raspberry zinger even if I had never heard of a raspberry before I came here." |
