It had not been a bad day, and Eärendil was feeling quite positive about his time here. His ship, small though she was, had handled beautifully yesterday, and he was still rather high from the excitement of feeling the roll of the sea under his feet again. Today he'd taken her out for a bit by himself, just to better get the feel of her, and had just come ashore and left her at the marina, pleased with himself and with the whole situation. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad here after all. He was whistling one of the happier parts of the Lay of Lúthien as he made his way back in the direction of the Tower, a full bag from Five Guys clutched in his hand. He was dressed in black trousers and an off-white hoodie, his blonde hair windblown enough that it showed the slightly inhuman shape of his ears. His face was red from the cold air, but his eyes were twinkling gaily. He was just about to turn onto the street where the Tower entrance was when he saw someone who it would be hard to mistake, and he nearly dropped his bag. Lowering his head in the hopes of not being recognized, he doubled his speed. Maedhros was the last person he wanted to talk to today. |
