Who: Julie & Maedhros What: A lesson on flying. Where: The rooftop of Potts Tower. When: After this Warnings | Status: TBD | in progress
The tower wasn't the tallest one, or indeed the prettiest, but it offered a sufficient view of a partial sector of the city below. Maedhros stood close to the edge of the roof looking down on the world in that small corner as it moved about, unaware or uncaring of the private plights of the millions of beings living within and without its concrete walls. Or maybe it did care but the number was small and insignificant to make a big impact on so many. Either way, time crawled by, the minutes passed as seconds and the days like hours and the months like weeks - people lived on within it ticking away until the day of their deaths. For Maedhros time didn't flow the same and he should not be so burdened by the world around him or the cares of such. Count it as a failing of his downtime. Like so many others he had little to do and far too much time to do it in. It left him too much time to think and brood and mourn for what could never be regained.
And indeed, to be angry about it all.
But he had spewed his words before Fingon could contain his fury. He felt spent and tired from his wasted efforts but standing near the edge of the roof eased his spirit and let it burn more steadily. He cooled himself and breathed calmly, his hair wiping about with the natural currents in the air and his cloak fluttering, trying to throw him off balance. But he was of the Eldar race and stood sturdy in the midst of it. He looked queer there, stuck in a modern city, dressed as if he belonged to some Renaissance faire. But he didn't care. He chose to clothe himself in the style of his people when he wasn't out and about in the city dealing with the daily issues and men. He welcomed the distraction though, from all that nonsense, and his own thoughts and half turned when the woman appeared.
"Greetings," he spoke aloud, touching a hand to his heart and bowing slightly. He was tall, standing just over seven feet. "I am Maedhros."
