So its with a heavy heart that we thank you for making the game great over the last 6 months, but after some discussion between the mods about IRL time constraints, the ability to keep up a game with such a mod-heavy plot, and recent dips in activity we've decided to close The Division.

We really thank everyone for taking part in the game and hope to see you around in future games to come!

Hey everyone! This is Chelsea again~ So, as is par for the course, I can't keep a female character going in a game at all? I don't know. This is a problem that I'll correct someday. Sigh. ANYWAY. I have this boy instead, who a few people might have seen elsewhere?

Either way, this is Laurie, brand new werewolf and trainee in crime scene cleanup. He's an idiot and a whirlwind of Bad Decisions. I love him for it, honestly. Emotional, reckless, not booksmart, and all set to do some really dumb stuff if you suggest it. You don't even really have to dare him usually. Just a mild suggestion is enough reason for him to jump off the top of a six story building. Very much an extrovert, he feeds off your energy, folks.

That Benny fellow right below is his bff and enabler but also keeps him from dying a horrible death because at least he has a brain.

Hey bitches, it's me again. What's up? I got two more kids for you to play with.

First off this is Serafina Russo but Sera is just fine. She just arrived yesterday but is very familiar with the Roanoke Division. In mid-January, it came to the attention of the Division that several werewolf women and a couple of human women had gone missing. It was then discovered that these women were taken to an abandoned bomb shelter out in the middle of nowhere by a wannabe alpha wolf who was trying to make his own harem. Sera is one of the humans that was turned. Although she was given all the resources in the world, Sera never approached the local packs. Instead she kind of fucked up her apartment on her first full moon.

With the next one approaching, not sure what to do but also wanting to give back, she's decided to become a trainee in Major Cases and maybe get some help with her wolfiness which she definitely hasn't accepted yet. She's a nice girl with a sarcastic sense of humor and she tries not to be overly complicated. On occasion, she plays violin for the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra to get a little extra scratch.

SECOND [info]princethibs Alexander Prince Thibodeaux who will often introduce himself as Prince Thibodeaux just to see who will stick to calling him Prince or not. If that doesn't tell you everything you need to know, I don't know what will. He joined Crime Scene Clean-up training in mid January. His entire family came up from Louisiana after what is known on conspiracy theory websites as "The Blackwater Incident." His entire family is made up of hunters and witches so it's possible that some other hunter clans know of their family name.

He's sassy, fashionable, sings like an angel, and is a fire witch with a hint of necromancy thrown in for good measure. He was almost a human sacrifice for a faerie tithe which then cursed their town and literally took them off the map. All sorts of weird shit happened. Then three years later they sort of just popped back into existence and everyone noped the fuck out of there.

Just FYI - my grandmother is Not Doing Well (to clarify: she's been not doing well for years now, but it has progressed to capital letters) to the tune of making hospice inquiries and funeral preparations. I am the closest family member to her distance-wise as well as relationship/caregiver-wise. Please bear with me while we wait for the dance to end. We don't know if it'll be a week or a month or 2 months, but it is coming and things seem to be snowballing.

In terms of how I'm doing, I'm actually okay. At this point, I mostly just wish to end her suffering. However, these things are time consuming (and family, ugh) and not leaving me with as much brain-power as I would prefer.

Hello friends. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that I will be out of town, professional-adulting (or pretending to). While I present a talk at an international conference (that I hope no one will attend), my lovely ladies will be somewhat indisposed. I'm down for tagging and such this evening, but Tuesday through Sunday will have significant delays compared to my usual. Luckily, there's free internet access at the hotel, so I can play some while pretending to do real people things. In the meantime, here is what my zany gals will be up to in my absence:

Anya - She's in HR, as usual, behind that pile of forms over there in the corner, staring into space, plotting evil. A usual few days for her. She's available, but it's unlikely that anyone would want/need to contact her.

April - She's had some radio silence for a minute now, so that will continue. I'm betting she got lost on the estate somewhere, and will eventually wander back to regale everyone with enthusiastic stories of grass and tress. Oh and flowers, there are flowers in the greenhouse, you guys!

Daryn - She's too responsible to just up and go anywhere, so she will be doing her usual thing around the Estate, training the trainees, pretending to be a grownup with other pretend grownups, you know how it is. She's available for trainee emergencies and frustration venting.

Harlow - Here's something interesting. Harlow put in for a shitton of sick/personal days (lets say a shitton equals like 5?) and jumped ship. She didn't tell anyone where she was going or why, but did report to her superiors that she'd provide doctors notes upon her return. She is unavailable via telephone, text, and e-mail until she tells me otherwise. If I wasn't her writer, she probably wouldn't have told me where she's going either, that sneaky bitch.

Ti - This girl is beyond mortified from her Valentine's Day shenanigans. She will never look at bacon and eggs the same. Otherwise, she's still around, cleaning up messes and serving up drinks at her respective positions. She's a little under the weather (not from anything amusing), so she is likely to be slow to respond to any contacts she might get.

This is Holland, or Ester, it really depends on how old you area.

She's sort of precious. She's quite tiny, very 'happy' sarcastic, almost always in a good mood. She would really be the life of the party in the most pleasing and positive way possible if... she had't been dead since the 1300s?

Mini-Run Down
  • She has an incomplete timeline in her bio of the places where she was most prolific with her most well know aliases.
  • This is the longest she's stuck with one name, since, well - ever. Its actually outlasted her human name at this point. Though technically she was always known as a vampire by Ester, the name her sire gave her, but she hasn't gone by that regularly since she calmed down a bit in the mid-1800s. Anyone older than that (so angels, demons, two of our vamps) may know her by Ester.
  • She's been working for the Division for sorta kinda a really long time, though has flopped around a bit (the only place with a static timeline is Austin when she first joined up to work in HR before transferring to Denver and starting in Major Cases).
  • She has a habit of liking to play with things like they're games, but she promises its just all in good fun - she promises. Really. She doesn't kill people any more. Seriously. Not since the 60s. So boring now. The internet ruined everything.
  • She says "hmph" and "ohhh" a lot.
  • Was born a Lithuanian pagan/witch in the mid-1300s and became a vampire willingly.
  • Oh I should probably add... hunter families might have also been well aware of her so depending on how long said hunter's family has been in the business they might be aware of her existence as Ester, but not by her aliases.

    Hey guys, I haven't forgotten anyone that I initially suggested throwing Raksha at. My laptop is kind of on its way to laptop heaven (or hell as the case may be) so been a little slow on getting things going with all the kids that Raksha knows or is supposed to meet. BUT I made a dropbox post which you can find here to continue planning from intro posts. Email is also fine, and AIM will be as well (trying to make sure I've added everyone who has it onto mine so y'all can see when I'm on).     Hey, ducks,

    I manage house for one of the theatre companies here in Shakespeare, and our Hard Bard production of The Duchess of Malfi opened (is currently opening, actually, since the show is still going) tonight. I will be pretty spotty at night for the next four weekends. The show runs February 26 to March 19 (2/26-2/28; 3/4-3/6; 3/11-3/13; 3/17-3/19), and doors are at 7 pm, which means I have to be to the theatre by 5:30 on these nights.

    I do have some wifi connection at the theatre, but it's weak.

    If any of you pinged me on AIM tonight: I wasn't ignoring you. I left my phone on my desk at work (I have no idea how. I could have sworn I dropped it into my bag). I'm going over in the AM to pick it up.

    That is all. The show is almost over, and I need to be present.

    Hello.

    It's me.

    I'm not Adele but I'll make you think of the soooooong.


    Anyway so this is Tobias Hawk. He's a 285 year old vampire with a lot of bad history so plz make me feel better by checking out his app at some point. Basically, bad shit went down; he ended up in an asylum then turned as part of a competition between a demon and a vampire. Good times. He's not crazy, never has been, but he's not entirely all there anymore either.

    Still, he's there enough to have become a junior investigator in Violent Crimes. He's transferring in from Salem Division which he joined in late 2011. He's also a bit of a house cleaner in that when the Division has those rare occasions where a detainee needs to disappear... Well, he likes the dirty work. He doesn't talk much, sticking to less than a handful of words if he can manage it. He's full of the spooks. It is unknown if he blinks.

    Hey everyone! Chelsea here, with my newest!

    This lovely lady here is Lucille Merriweather, 99 year old vampire. (She's turning 100 this year! :o) Nowadays she's a senior investigator with the Violent Crimes Department. Her life path has been... rather convoluted. Raised to be a rich society lady, she eventually turned to crime because exciting and oh boy, she was pretty good at it. She was primarily a thief by trade, but she dabbled in other crimes here and there. She started working for the Salem Division 16 years ago in their Major Cases unit, but has been at Roanoke in the Violent Crimes department for a decade.

    Pretty light-hearted and flippant for a century old blood-sucking menace, Lucille likes to keep things light and surface-y, lies about as easily as she breathes, but she likes plans and puzzles and interesting tidbits. You should see her on a really challenging case; it kind of consumes her but in the best way possible. She wants to get to know you but probably doesn't want to share any of herself in return. Also, she's been known to be a bit of a chronic flirt, but she's only ever serious about the ladies.

    SO. Friends, enemies, people she flirts shamelessly with, ladies she's kissed (or tried to kiss, lol), maybe one or two people she actually trusts? Idk, GIVE ME ALL THE THINGS PLS.

    Okay so I know I like juuuusssstttt joined with Audra like was it even a week ago? I don't think its even been officially a week yet. But I have a bit of a tick about playing a ying/yang set of characters in any game I'm in and that usually ends up being my minimum, but I almost always start out very quickly with the two set. This is Isolde Bellatrix Lister, she's a Hunter who works (or, well, is working 'again') as a Junior Investigator in Missing Persons.

    Character Preview
  • She's 26, is a middle child. Her older brother Dominic works at the Tallahassee Division (though I may put a wanted ad up for him for funsies so he can come be overprotective of her).
  • The siblings were three different entities that formed a sort of symbiotic element that just meshed really well. Dominic was the killer/the 'lawful good', Isolde was the tracker/the 'chaotic good', and Stefan was the planer/the 'true good'.
  • She worked at the Division from March 2010 until January 2014 and has just returned after an 'absence' that was supposed to only last a month.
  • At the very least the hunter community and senior staff/investigators who were around in January of 2014 would know she took a 'personal leave' after her younger brother's death (he didn't work for a division, he died on a hunt with their Father). Rumours would probably have circulated about where she was and what she was doing while she was gone, totally open to whatever on that front. If your character was here, feel free to be creative.
  • While she totally takes her job seriously, Izzy is best described as a hurricane in a bottle. Rules are not her forte and she pretty much consistently walks the line between following them and breaking them.
  • She's a creature guided by impulse. She sort of chases that "drop" feeling that you get on a roller coaster, she loves adrenaline and spends most of her off time out - she would rarely be found having down time in her room if she didn't work that day.

    I'm bringing this cute one, Matt Carter, to work with you all at the Division. In fact, he's been around for the past 4 years after having been to law school as it was required of him because of family demands :P Either way, he's way happier now and it shows in his overall way to be. He's basically one big, goofy meatball. Yup.

    Hi everyone! I wanted to post this intro, but I won't actually be around to start playing this boy until Sunday or so because I'm opening a musical this weekend... Anyway, hi! I'm Bette, and this is Adrian Whitethorne. The brother of [info]soulmeasures, son of the witch who enslaved [info]longoftooth. He's a witch, and until about 2 years ago was one of the go to guys to get illegal/dark things done in England because he fell in with the wrong crowd. Then he was recruited into the Division in Anchorage, and has been there for the last two years in Major Crimes. Now he's transferring here because of his mother's death. And bringing his sister with him.

    This is Félix Rosales, a shapeshifter from Spain. Okay, I say that, but he's been in the states since he was 15. Anyway, he's been at the Boudon Estate since 2009. He worked in the forensics department until very recently (I guess the beginning of the year?) when he became a trainer. He's a giant nerd who likes nerd stuff, so he'll be more than happy to educate you on things. Bio here for more info.

    HELLO FRIENDS AND FRIENDS. Heather here.

    This is Daniel Doggett. He's arriving this current game day and will be introducing himself after time change. But until then, he's a Jr Investigator in Missing Persons, transferring in from Chicago. Basically, that office decided after his case went horribly, horribly wrong which ended with him losing half a pinky, being beaten to a pulp and half devoured by a vampire, he would end up a psychological liability... So let's send him somewhere "nice and quiet." Hello Roanoke.

    Now outside of his obvious trauma, he's a bit of a hyperactive guy - bouncy here and there. He's the kind of weasel who knows where all the good fences are and what not as he was a thief for a long time before serving time. Despite his weasely exterior, he's an incredibly loyal friend and would literally die for those he cares about. Hence the case gone wrong.

    Oh, and he's a shapeshifter. Canine.

    He will never be specific if you ask him. Mostly because he turns into a chihuahua.

    It's Nicole, again, with another char. This is Daryn, a psychic (telepath/telekinetic) and a trainer. She's Phil's partner, and a long time member in Division-y things. If you've played with me in the past, this is a different variation of the gal you might've met before. Either way, she's friendly, slightly on the shy side but nothing too bad. She takes great pride in her job and does her best to do it well. Despite technically being human, she is totally fascinated/obsessed with/accepting of all things supernatural. Not in a weird, voyeuristic way or anything. It's just her jam. So, lines? Please? Pretty please?
