My brother's gone, but my girl's here. This some kind of sign I'm supposed to be grateful for what I have when I've got it? Already was. This just reminds me that I'm still sick of the universe's bullshit.

In other news, the Roadhouse is looking like a hit with the locals. Unsurprising, given the crazy kids who run it and all.

I'm kind of bad at optimism. I tried it once and people lost hands and their lives and now I have a wooden shoulder. But since Fillory isn't here, maybe optimism won't be so dangerous.

I'll keep that in mind.

That's a hell of a burn for a round of optimism. Then again, I tried to be optimistic once and ended up getting screwed over by my the world's worst ex. So. Guess I can relate.

Shit sucks. Apparently it's gone worse for us, though. But this is the 40th time we've done this. Only we forgot all of that apparently. But sorry about the ex thing.
