I shouldn't hope this is actually an arsonist. That's a bad thing to hope. But it's felt so good to actually do something these past few days

So, end of the school year is coming up. Which means everyone's favorite thing: exams. I tossed this out before, but since I've taken on a few more classes thanks to disappearances, I'll throw it out there again. If anyone needs any help catching up on chemistry or biology (or really any science), I'm here for all your tutoring needs.

That is sarcasm about the exams, yeah?

Only slightly, but I've always been a nerd, so I'm the weirdo that likes that sort of thing.

I like some of it all right, but I'm not certain I favor the exams. There is the question of, do I keep doing schooling after I finish at the high school. But I guess I've some time to think about it.

I get it. Exams aren't everyone's favorites and it's not always the best way to see if someone's gotten what they need to out of the class. That is the one nice thing about college. There's usually more wiggle room on how they do testing.

You've still got a few more years left, right? That's plenty of time to think it over and decide what's best for you.

I actually feel like I'm doing all right on the sciences. It's some of the other subject areas I feel really behind in. Like history - is a killer. I think the whole, not having grown up in this galaxy, really puts one scrambling to catch up.

History's a tough one even without the whole different galaxy thing. Especially the tests. Whole lot of dates to just spit back out on a piece of paper and depending on the course, far too long a time span to pick from.

But yeah, that's a lot to catch up on. You stuck in world history or US history?

I have a pretty good memory, so that helps, but I'm lacking context for most of it. And I keep getting distracted on how it's like this thing or that thing at home, or how it's completely different. I feel like if I didn't have a good memory for stuff I would be doing really badly.

World. So, it's like everything hi.

Y'know, I might've said science, but if you need any study help with history, I could work something out. I'm at least good at playing the tangent game of 'ok, but why did this happen at this point' and how it's all connected.

Yeah, really? Cause that might be helpful.

Really, really. I might need to brush up on a few things, but I'm willing to help.

That'd be fantastic. I think if I talked through some of it with someone else it would settle better, you know?

Oh yeah, I definitely know. It's like the rubber duck theory with coding. You try and talk it out with someone else and you realize what wasn't clicking, despite studying for hours before hand and thinking you had it all down.

Yeah, that's a pretty good look at it. I mean, I've got Fiver now, so I can sort of talk to him about it, but he tends to just give me really boring responses back. I've got to improve his personality matrix.

Ah physics. How I love thee. I can definitely do physics. I have a lot of experience tutoring where that's concerned.

GOD, I'm starting summer classes at the community college soon. I might need that help for science.
