Since being named the drama instructor at the Ellie Phimister School, life has been quite busy! And with a good will, I set my shoulder to bringing good theatre to our young ones here in Tumbleweed. But the truth is, we've really only got the active interest for a early 20th century style production - "Krapp's Last Tape", if you will.

That isn't necessarily what I'd call a play meant to christen a theatre. As such, I have obtained approval to open up the Ellie Phimister School summer production to the community. We will be putting on "Romeo & Juliet" right here, in the castle. There is a perfectly serviceable ballroom which will make for a very nice theatre in the round.

Not only will we need to cast the play but we'll need help with arranging lighting and set design. Please do consider joining. I think that storytelling has a wonderful way of bringing us all together.

I shall post a try-out schedule quite soon, but if you're like me, I'm sure you want to begin preparing your monologues.

You're heading a new theatre production? That's exciting [...] going to be wonderful for the community.

I don't like being idle, sir. As I'm sure is the case amongst so many of us. And this seemed a good opportunity to teach a love of stories.

Besides, Adam and I have so much space.

Oh, no. I'm not 'sir.' I've missed the theatre productions. We used to have community theatre but it's been absent for over a year.

That will come in handy.

Well, that simply won't do. I hope I can count on seeing you at try-outs.

What would you need for set design? I've never worked on a play before, but I'm an artist, in my spare time.

I reckon a romance is well suited to be an opening production.

And hopefully by the time the production sets stage, we will have the electric light.

I had vacillated briefly, I admit, between it and "A Winter's Tale". But I am sentimental, Adam. And it seemed right.

It is a good end goal, yes. I cannot imagine the thousands of candles you burned to light the ballroom for your outlandish masquerades. All those poor bees giving up their homes!

If not, I've a mind to ask Mr. Barebone to employ some of his wizard capabilities in order to light our way.

Oh, if it is to be a romance, "Romeo & Juliet" was the proper choice. And I admit to being more fond of the play as of late. But perhaps, as a future production, you might consider "Othello" or "Hamlet?"

I hardly ever thought of the amount we went through. I suppose it was a great deal. Truth be told, in my youth it never did occur to me how much effort went into maintaining the daily necessities of the castle. I doubt they were put out for long. They were capable of starting a new.

That would be quite handy if he is willing.
