We've had a break-through. It's still an on-going process, but it appears that we have sent items back through the portal. Our readings are similar to the same readings when people disappear. Meaning: from all our data, it would appear we have sent these items back to their original dimension. We've even attempted this on items from this dimension, and they have come right back to us.

The next step is testing it on a living being. My hesitation comes from the fact that we truly have no idea what happens when people disappear from here. There's readings that suggest that those from the same dimension return to that dimension, but this is just something we don't know one hundred percent because no one returns with memories of their original dimension.

I know that some people are eager to return to their homes. They were in the middle of something important or need to help a loved one. I understand. How do you test this on something living? My Ditto has been homesick for some time. Today, we sent it through the portal. The readings were not like any other dimension, but there were commonalities with our previous cruises. Because of this, we believe that it does return items to the original dimension.

So the question is: if you wanted to go back, would you try?

Rogue was the last of us from the Mountain to go back, wasn't she? Did [...] her readings look more like the others from her world? Or were they different?

Did they match, say, James Potter? Were you all able to track readings when he left last year?

But there is a difference between it sending me back and me choosing to leave Fred. Bill, Percy, George, Ginny? They had no choice.

What sort of brother am I if I choose to go? And for what reason? Because I'm miserable? So, what? Let Fred be miserable instead?

I wish I had an answer that solved everything, but I honestly think Fred wouldn't want you to stay here, where you're miserable, just for him. I can't speak for Fred though, but you're going to have to have an honest conversation with him.

We'll be okay, Charlie. Including Fred. I know back home you won't know, I wish there was a way to change that, but to the you that's here now, we're going to be okay.

What's the context for this question?

Situation #1: We've sent items back to their universe, we think. We've sent a pokémon back to its universe-ish, we think. Want to be next?

Situation #2: It's still proof of concept, but if we get better/more definitive proof, would you be interested?

Situation #3: (unrealistic) If we were to wave a magic and/or scientific wand and you could go home, would you want to?
