May the Fourth be with you! And whoever wants to help build a lifesize lego x-wing... with me. Since we're back in town, lego party. With cake. All that's needed is a desire for fun and legos.

That includes you. Adults are welcome. Also, I bought a pair of blasters on Naboo to incorporate into... whatever we're calling it.

So, you had mentioned costume changing spells for Mamma Mia! And I was wondering if I could get your help with a last minute birthday costume fun idea. Wouldn't have thought about it except we're ACTUALLY here for my birthday.

I take it you mean a previous time? Regardless, happy birthday.

Why would you want to dress as a stormtrooper?

Oh, yes, last year! I've been here over a year now, but it's the first time I've known it's my birthday.

1. to tease Master Luke even though he's not here
2. because they came out of the clone troopers, who weren't evil
3. but clone troopers aren't aaaaas recognizable
4. and also are deserving of more respect and less poking fun at
5. although many people dress up well as stormtroopers in this world, some in town aren't
6. it takes power away from the symbolism of them, and that is a fair and good thing to do
7. it helps me have power over the idea of stormtroopers (and the clone troopers being forced to kill jedi against their will)
8. i'm embracing the attitude of may the fourth and dressing up as myself/a jedi just isn't the same
9. interacting with things like this helps me have balanced emotions and handle strong feelings that sometimes come up about stuff from my universes
10. it is also sort of a whim with all that behind it

I don't actually think any of that explains why you want to. Other than maybe the whim?

I'd rather not make a Stormtrooper costume. If you want to embrace May the Fourth and the heritage of your universe, I could pop you over to California or Orlando real quick? And pick you up this evening? I'm sure that is a cheap knock off compared to the real thing but...

It's... a lot more fun to stick lighthearted. But I am trying to find/follow balance with the Force. (and no, stormtrooper costume isn't MANDATORY to that, but I wasn't lying).

Ooooh. Yeah, as long as I could be back in time for the lego party later, that'd be great. Which would be... better for that -- California or Orlando? I trust your judgment.

Honestly, it is nice not to be in the middle of a war. And Anakin being dead. I haven't looked up anything on the future on purpose, but I have to believe the war will end sometime. I just... don't know how it'll be. Or if my future there has any chance to be as good as the one I have here. So, it was nice to visit peaceful Naboo. [...] I'm not 100% sure where I was going with that. Point is, it isn't the real thing, no. But it also doesn't have the problems the real thing has.

The lighthearted isn't always received well by others, even if it is the best choice for yourself.

California. They are a couple hours behind us and so it'll be less crowded than Orlando at this particular moment.

That I can understand. My world was constantly having to deal with crisis after crisis. I used to chase trying to find out the future and it never did me any good. I eventually reached a point where I decided not to try anymore and I did everything I can to ensure I won't know, outside of someone telling me. [...] Sometimes the fantasy of something is worth indulging in.

Yeah, and that's something more to balance. There's no shortage of it. Almost everything is practice.

Time to explore somewhere new. And possibly buy some kind of bobblehead of people I know.

I know not all of history is war after war after war or crisis after crisis after crisis that affects SOOOOOOOOO much. And that is a good thing here. But stuff that causes a lot of emotion, again and again and again? That's still what life'll be like. At least it might only feel like the world is ending instead of the world actually ending.

I'm trying not to look up anything about my future. I wasn't trying for the stuff I've learned. I was just looking up random AGFFA stuff and oops. And I'm doing more to avoid it now. [...] What do you mean "everything you can" not to learn more? And not that I've really ever learned anything about your world besides from all of you being here, but I can promise not to tell you. If I happen to learn anything.

Yeah. I just have to remember it's a fantasy, and that's not... going to be reality.
