So. My birthday is on the 26th. And since I'm turning 31 in space, why not take advantage of it? I'm open to ideas, but I'm thinking maybe hitting up the spa or shopping during the day, then dinner some really fancy, then dancing and drinks? I'm open to suggestions, too.

(OOC: Feel free to assume. If they've talked, then they can probably see this. Donna's pretty friendly)

I haven't explored the whole ship yet, but I did hear there was an amusement park and a bowling alley.

Those are also bot viable options.

Don't cruises usually stop somewhere, too?

We usually do stop somewhere, yeah. No guarantee that we'll be stopped on your birthday or that it'll be a fun place to explore, but we could always hope. And then there's the ship activities as a backup.

I don't mind doing ship activities or if exploring if we've stopped somewhere. I wasn't making it to 31 back home due to you know, dying, but I can definitely do something here.

Making it to 31 here is definitely worth celebrating with a bang, then. Maybe you should make it like a birthday weekend, or even a full week, see if you can fit both in?

That's always a good idea, too. I don't know what we're going to be doing the week of, so as long as I get to do something epic on my birthday, that's the important part.

We can definitely plan for something on the day and cross our fingers the portal or the ship don't throw any wrenches in that plan.

I'm happy to help/join you for whatever part of it you want to share with people.

If the portal tries to ruin my birthday, I might actually fight it.

Thank you, Sam. I'd love that.

If the portal tried to ruin it, there might well be something to fight, but I'm not sure about fighting the portal directly.

Of course. It all sounds like fun.

I mean, it wouldn't be the first time I've had to fight something on my birthday, but I wouldn't be entirely too thrilled about it.

You definitely should get to just relax and have fun on your birthday.

That is the goal, ultimately.

I would definitely hit up the spa with you and I feel like the dancing could be a lot of fun! An excuse to dress up, right?

Thanks, Buffy! And exactly. Especially after a spa day. We can show off fresh manicures and dance after being pampered during the day. I cant' remember the last time I had a spa day.

I can't either, and hey, we might as well get in all the relaxing we can in case things that are less relaxing come along.

I wonder if we can buy cakes or things in one of the lounges?

Exactly. If I'm on a cruise, I might as well enjoy myself before something crazy happens.

Maybe! I honestly can't remember the last time I had a birthday cake.

Okay, I'm definitely going to check into the birthday cake situation, but yeah - let's do something amazing, and fun, and if the crazy happens we'll have some good memories before it.

Happy almost-birthday!

I'm still slightly in denial that we're in space and will continue to be in space, but a birthday party would be just the thing to help me deal with that. Especially the spa, but I do like fancy dinners and dancing, too.

Thanks, Isobel!

I'm trying to be optimistic about being in space. I've been up in space a couple of times back home, but nothing like this. I can definitely help distract you.

I've been in space before, technically I'm from space, but I have no memory of any of it. I should be happy about being in space, really, but I'm just so used to Earth and I just kinda wanted something safe and familiar for awhile.

But parties are definitely comfortable and familiar. And so is the spa.

I know a couple of people back home who are technically from space but don't have any memory of it. It's an almost common thing in my world. But space is an adjustment for anyone not used to it, I think.

I kind of want something comfortable and familiar myself, too. Parties and spa days are both of those things.

Really? I wonder why that's such a common experience. [...] I keep wondering if I'll get any memories back, being up here. Or if I'll experience something that feels more natural. Earth never did feel quite right, even when it got comfortable and familiar. But this doesn't really either.

Let's do an excellent party and spa day for you, then. Of course, we don't have to wait until the 26th to go to the spa.

I think those are all great ideas. My birthday's next month so I'll probably be using a couple of those myself if we're still here.
