Excuse me, I-

Oh, I dropped it. Hello? Is this thing broken?

My name is Dolores. I'm not sure I understand where I am. The kind folks at the... bureau tried to explain it, but I'm afraid so little made sense to me and so many words I've never heard before. My head isn't feeling quite right. Texas is a bit far from home, yet I've found my ranch and my horse as if somehow all the land has shifted overnight. My parents are missing, and our herd seems to also be lost. I'm afraid they won't know the way back.

Is this real? Where is Sweetwater? I was meant to go into town this morning. Has the train come by yet? Maybe there's still time to get back before dark.

How could there be no trains? How would the town bring in supplies or travelers?

I do feel as if I am missing a lot, but not myself. Are people truly mad here? They do say incredibly odd things.

There's not a lot of anything here. You should see how long an uber takes. Usually buses or something, I guess?

Yeah, I still wouldn't do that. Unless you want to get lost and die. Also you should know your dad's not gonna be wherever you're trying to go cause if he was going to be here, he'd be here. This isn't where any of us used to be.

Look. Wherever your Sweetwater is, it's not here. It's back where you left it. Just cause your house is here doesn't mean your home is here. You're in this version of the world. So he's home in Sweetwater where you came from, but he's not here in any Sweetwater that exists in this world.
