That's what I'm trying to figure out.

I think we're usually cruise ship bound when tax day happens so maybe the portal just whammies them and no taxes.

No we've paid it I'm sure. But we usually have an extension.

I'll pull up my past year's this weekend and look into it. All because Bobby Drake had to bring it up in January

Technically these are gifts, not income. The source ought to be paying taxes on it, as much as that is a thing. If you invest it, you'll need to pay taxes on that. But if it's just in a savings account, you'll just need to add the interest to your income.

Is he though? And if he's not, and we're all suddenly ending up with various amounts of money over the $15k threshold, you have to wonder if it's flagging anything in the government. But then again, housing and crap is paid for as well, so maybe everything we do is under the radar.

Maybe he's paying them in another dimension. But lets not sick the IRS on Santa. I've set up some proper accounts for the money I've received while here. Never gotten into any trouble. But then I'm not sure we've ever returned to the same Tumbleweed. So perhaps we've skipped tax season each time altogether.

That is awfully convenient for our taxes. Does that make us obligated to perhaps donate some of our money or make up for that in some way? We do benefit from the services government provides.
