Also, is Groot offended if you ask him to write on paper?

Of course you do.

He can't use the same size notebook for everything. How would he even function? Planners need to be a different size than class notes and you really want to consider a multi-subject notebook for copying your notes into. And the lab notebook should be a little bigger than the class notebook, but the scratch workbook that goes with that just functionally needs to be smaller.

And does he have a dream notebook yet?

There are multiple sorts of notebooks, each of which serve a specific purpose in the educational process.

He'll need a different notebook and/or binder for each class for notes so English notes don't get lost with math notes and don't get lost in science notes. Trust me, that's not pretty. Then he'll need a planner for writing down when assignments are due, but I know a few applications you could work with for that if he's more into the tech side of things. However, studies have shown that writing out notes and keeping a planner means you'll remember things.

I recommend having a catch all notebook, maybe one of the five subject books, for things that don't fit into the other subjects.

We really should have been on the ball when they were running those .25 cent notebook sales.

Yeah. Saw a commercial about it for one of the office stores.

I just...didn't think about how that might be a good idea.

I'd offer to lend you the one we got but I figure the kids need different things than Groot does.

Maybe ask the school to give you another?

Honestly... they probably don't need to be different sizes, but having something to help him differentiate between the classes will help when it comes to note taking, organising and taking what he needs for that day. Label makers and colour coding things usually helps too.
