I actually do just meant a decent ally. We made a pact, in case Gold ever shows up. The no strings sex is just a bonus.

There's a lot of people we could use here if Gold showed up. For starters, don't let him out of that damn Bureau. His powers will be nullified.

They let me out of the Bureau. They let Loki out. We let goddamn Dracula out. What's stopping them from letting Gold out too? I trust us and the connections we make. That's about it.

If I remember correctly, all of that was before we got to this version of Tumbleweed, where the Displaced are in control.

So you really think that if someone with questionable morals came through, that this new group of bureaucrats won't do the same? That they just won't release us into the wild like the military did?

I can't say for sure either, which is why I only trust us and the measures we're putting into place. You're my family and I know you'll all have my back if something terrible shows up. I don't trust the Bureau to not make excuses.
