So... as Johanna eloquently put it: Finnick, Annie, and the kids have been sent back. This feels awful.

Now we need to find an apartment.

That's right. You know of a place?

Athoek Station has many apartments even in the small portion of it that has come here. You two would be welcome to one of them.

Is that where you live? Wouldn't mind having you for a neighbor.

I'll talk to Katniss about it.

It is where Seivarden and I live. Station is controlled by an AI. Katniss has definitely talked with it.

We're going to stay somewhere else tonight, but I'll think about it. I don't see why not.

By all means. There is no time limit on the offer. You can reach out to Seivarden or I on the network, or if you show up in person, you can speak directly with Station, who can also help you find an apartment to fit your needs. I'll be away for a while starting tomorrow. My lack of response will not be ignoring you.

Do any of the apartments have garden space too? Or at least a window with sunlight?

Some of the apartments have gardening options and potential. Station can imitate sunlight well enough for plants to grow. In space, people had water rations, and plants were expensive, in regards to how much of your water ration it would take to nourish one. However, planetside, we're better connected to sources of water. So that should be less of an issue.

The windows in apartments are just to other parts of Station. By virtue of its design, with the exception of the Botanical Gardens, it was best to limit weak points that could be exposed to a vacuum.

So it's really strong, then? Can you close it all down if something bad happened?

Yes. We can cut ourselves off from the rest of the world and be good on food, water, and air for quite some time, especially given our limited population.

That part is pretty appealing, given the way things work here. But we'll have to talk about it.

I know I have yet to see much of the way things work here. But we will do what we can. And you are welcome to visit, during bad times, even if you do not live here.

I've been around a long time. Things just [...] happen. It's never the same thing. Although it's often some kind of monster.

But if Station can handle space then it can probably handle monsters.

Station has handled monsters. It handled the worst of them admirably. And together she was defeated.

Would the sensors detect them?

There are a few parts of station still damaged where we need to reinstall sensors. Everywhere else there are sensors that would detect them. And there are section barriers that can drop, meant to hold against vacuum.

I don't know how to do that, but I can help if you tell me how. But even still, some sensors are better than none.

Your work restoring the gardens is already incredible. But you are welcome to help with sensors. It is not all highly technical work. Sometimes it's physical labor.

I definitely know more about working in the gardens, and that's what I like doing the most. But I can do physical labor.

Whenever you would like to help with sensors that Seivarden or I are around, you are welcome. We are continuing to work on repairing Station, including setting up sensors once any damage preventing them is dealt with. The first level was repaired quickly, back when we had twenty people working on it, before Station came here.

My brother asked me to go out of town with him for a few days, but when I get back, I can definitely help with that. Maybe Gale would be willing too, and it would help him get an idea of what the Station is like.

I will be out of town myself a bit longer than that. That plan still works. Just get in touch with Station and Seivarden. And ask her for a handheld, to give you a better sense of how Station usually communicates with residents.
