Yeah, I guess there are ups and downs in anyone’s life.

So. There’s always a downside. Obviously I can’t guarantee that your ability stays in tact, but what I can do is consult with some other friends before we do anything. In the meantime, I can talk to my Potter friend about a Pensieve for hosting your current memories so that you don’t lose them permanently while we figure out some alternatives.

But at the end of the day that might be a difficult choice to make. I don’t see why you wouldn’t maintain your current knowledge.
