[Parents of Young Kids Group*]

I'm gonna be opening up my house for a playdate this Friday from eleven to two. We got an expansive backyard with different climbing things and a lil area that's perfect for real little ones.

And then inside has areas for the kids to play as well and all of us to gather if'n its hotter'n Hades again.

I can grill burgers and hot dogs and then if'n anyone coming over could just bring some side dishes that'd be real grand. Just let me know who all is coming so I can get the right amount of food for the grill. Or if'n ya want something else grilled let me know that too.

Most of Demora's childhood, I was traveling, you know? Ben took on both of our roles and I video called in when I could or met them on a planet when they could make it out and our ship was in the neighborhood.

So it's been a learning experience, being here with her.

I'm sorry to hear that.

I'm used to it. I've had my husband given to me and taken away. Then the same happen with my boyfriend. But Demora...she'd never been without Ben for more than a few nights whenever she visited other family members. This is new. The past has been a distracting experience, but some nights...it's hard.

Wish I could tell ya it gets better and stays better. But I think we just keep going day to day as best we can. Focusing on helping the kids helps some but ya can't just go doing that either because it ain't fair for them.
