	I have not experienced this knowledge firsthand. I've never been skateboarding. Or surfing. By the time I stopped being afraid of the water (at least being in it and not on my dad's fishing boat), I was a mermaid. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Nope. We found a magical place and I had to jump in the water to get out. There wasn't much choice unless I wanted to be stuck forever or until someone could go back to the mainland before coming back out to Mako. It was already late. It changed us. Not that I regret it. I don't. It makes living like a normal person a lot more difficult, but [...] I dunno. I guess I'm special in a way. Seems silly to give it up even if it'd make things a lot easier.

Yeah. I didn't always feel this way and I guess I used to worry it was the only special thing about me, but [...] Well, I guess I don't think like that anymore. After having to deal with losing it briefly because people wouldn't stop trying to make us an experiment, I guess I don't want to have to let go of it. And here, it's not as big of a problem. I don't even have to keep it a secret. From everyone. I still have to keep it a secret from the people outside of here, but I can handle that.
