Those bloody Cornish Pixies took my glasses! Well, they didn't look like the Pixies of my world, but they certainly behaved like them. At least, what I got to see of them before they nicked my glasses! I hoped that they'd show up once the madness was over, but in the morning they were still gone. I had to take time off from work yesterday to go to the optometrist. What a bother! I'm practically blind without them.

On the plus side, I ordered a pair of prescription sunglasses.

I don't know, I have to say I did quite like the tree's. It almost felt like home. And I had an audience with their King and Queen. It was quite interesting, even if they kept asking if I was one of them.

The trees reminded me of my home, too. So lush and green. And cool! Such a change from the desert, and a delightful break from the heat.

You met with Faerie royalty? That's amazing! Oh, how I wish I could've come along and seen it, too. I'm not surprised they thought you might be one of them, but given you're also royalty. What did you talk about?

It was. I would not have minded had they remained. I do not think I shall ever become used to this heat.

I think they mostly thought I was their kind, but it was nice to stretch my diplomatic muscles a bit. And a bit of everything. Their politics versus the ones I know, what they are like as a people, and I learned a bit of their history.

Neither do I. There are a few, small areas in Tumbleweed, magical oasises created by people here, that help.

Speaking of which, how fares the garden?

They do, and there's plenty of forests nearby.

It fares well. The heat is a challenge but I've gotten a fair few books on how to manage it. And on a different subject, have you seen Allison? She's not in her room.

Thank you, and I feel it's only right to keep learning. A different approach will teach me how to be a better Queen for my people. And I hope so.

Yesterday, and her things are still here but I cannot reach her. And there was a beep, so I worry she might have gone home.

I'll try to get some suggestions where we could go. I don't know this country well enough to know where's the best place. Unless we want to go to England? Which is an option.

I think I'd like to see England. It is where you're from so I'd like to know of it. I will ask around for something to hide my ears. Do you want it to be just us?

I fear as much. I hope she is well and happy back in her home. Would you mind terribly to give me a hand with packing up her things?

I did, at one point, but the frames had been broken, earlier. I should've gotten that taken care of straight away, but I kept putting it off. This time, in addition to the sunglasses, I've ordered a second pair. It's put me back, financially, but it's an investment.

Well, I flailed a lot. And it looked like a deranged horse, but I had my wand with me and I was able to put up enough defense spells to get myself out of the way.
