~~Am I the only one paying attention to details?~~ Clearly, he'd enjoy a more sour type, an India pale ale would suit him best, one from the East Coast since those have a stronger malt presence and rely on spicier, European hops.

Fortunately, there's a place in town that sells artisanal beer. I'll bring some Greene King for him, and he'll never want to drink anything else.

A talent that comes in handy, and for much more than determining which beer people would enjoy.

Although, you would much enjoy a light pilsner. Two specific brands come to mind, both of which I shall bring to tonight's fete, one with an earthy, woody hops flavor followed by a strong bitter finish, along with underlying peach and floral flavors, and one with a notes of pine and citrus hops. Both, surprisingly, made in craft breweries in the United States.
