Um. I just picked up like fifty thousand dollars from the Resettlement Bureau. They said it came through the portal with my name on it.

Not to brag or anything, but that's like a lot of money here in Tiny Town, TX when you don't have to pay rent or utility bills.

And classes are about to let out.

Was I not clear?

The Resettlement Bureau called me today that something came through the portal for me, so I went by after classes and found that I had an envelope with a bow on it. My name was on it in pretty letters. So I opened it, and it was fifty thousand dollars. I don't know where it came from because I have definitely never seen this much money all at once in my life.

Unless you're counting any of the times I hung out at the Baxter Building. But that wasn't money, that was just really REALLY expensive stuff.

Not last I heard? I mean, I guess I could from the future or something, but I don't have one now.

Interesting.

Hey, free money is free money, right?

Well, now you got me worried. What if it's NOT free? What if it's BLOOD MONEY?

You're the one being all "free money is free money." What if it's not? What if there are caveats? I don't like caveats.

Did your pile of free money come with any type of legalese? If not, it's free money.

Worse case, let's say it's from the future and does have strings attached. Presumably you had a good reason for accepting said caveats at that point in time.

If you're totally sweating this allow me to present a third option where I invest said free money on your behalf.

Wait.

In my name?

So that I can have MORE free money?

We'd be looking at standard brokerage fee but it's not like the stock market is hard.

What's the standard fee?

And could I do like part of it? Like half of it or something?

It varies based on the type of funds, trades, etc. Presumably I'd be making the investment decisions unless you want to drive so let's call it 1.25%?

Yeah, half is cool.

That sounds pretty good to me, and yeah, you would definitely be making the decisions because I have no idea how to play the market.

You got a deal then!
