I haven't always been able to use my powers, but the gem was always there!

And what if a piano fell on me during that? I wouldn't have had my bubble!

No, I didn't. I just knew that Earth was my home, and that I had to stay and protect it as much as I could despite the fact that the Diamonds could crush me like one of those little bugs with the red wings with black circles on them.
