You know school works best when you actually attend.

Friday & Monday. I'm leaning towards detention Saturday.

By all means, please punish her. She will be facing consequences at home as well. Thank you for making us aware.

It's not the biggest deal in the world, but it's important to establish a consistent pattern here.

I blame myself for not being here when school started in full force. I had matters to attend to out of state, but I intend to be more involved moving forward.

Additionally, I was hoping to speak to you about finding more challenging courses for Shuri. She is young, but very bright and I'm afraid the sciences and mathematics courses offered here are not advanced enough. Do you have a recommendation for this?

That's appreciated.

We've been considering a robotics seminar. But I'd also be willing to get someone to oversee more directed research or taking courses at the local university perhaps if there's something we're not offering. Did you have something specific in mind?

Nothing specific, at the moment, but perhaps I can have her sit down with you and we can work something out?

Of course. Once everyone's a little more settled, we can get to work on that.

I'm not sure there's much that can be done with the university at this moment since it's towards the end of the semester for them, but I can probably swing something by the fall and I'll loop in some of our STEM faculty to see what expertise we have in house.

Any and all efforts are appreciated, Mr. Summers. I'm afraid of her becoming bored with that side of her curriculum and deciding that skipping school or class is an acceptable alternative.
