I'm gonna lay this out there. We have no science department right now, so we have no idea where the portals came from, why they showed up, if they're tied to anything we might have done, or if the disappearances have anything to do with the portals.

I know there's a lot of science types out there, but we are severely lacking in equipment, and we're still talking funding with those of the Displaced who offered there help. If you'd like to be included on budget talks because you're interested in helping us fund the place, that can be arranged, just let me know.

For now, we're still handling everything on a volunteer basis.

ETA: This includes magical studies too.

We might need a bigger science department then I thought. We were not prepared at all for those portals to open up around town. Thankfully, the Displaced stepped up, like they always do, but we need to find out if there's a way we can get some kind of advanced warning. Some kind of readings that might give us a hint at where a portal might open up.
