AVENGERS COMPOUND (MINUS THE WARDS):

I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, and we've had a good run with free rent and utilities and everything, but if the military is gone and they were bankrolling everything like our paperwork, what are the odds these places are still set up to be rent and utility free?

We should probably think of some kind of contingency plan. I've got a bunch saved from not having to pay rent, but at some point, that's going to run low. Anyone got any ideas?

We'll need to look into laws regarding taking a house off the grid like that. I know that some places refuse to let you keep barrels for rainwater.

I wonder if anybody would notice, given how Tumbleweed's evolved like some Pokemon, and it hasn't drawn any attention.

Everything seems to have been stalled. There are no new cases at the station, and my case work is still the same as I had before. No one has yelled at me for being three months late.

It's like the whole town just froze and got jumpstarted when we came back.

I'd still like to give it a try, going off grid. Not only will it be easy on our bills, but it's better for the environment.
