Oh, a ball. Finally a chance to wear some of the beaded frocks that arrived with me. I think the white one will go nicely with the tiara I bought in Camelot. It's a pity I don't have my maid here. She's able to arrange my hair so much better than I can.

It seems the only other thing that I'll need is a handsome gentleman. Are there even any decent single ones on this boat?

Oh, thank you. Poor Anna struggled with it at first but she practiced quite a bit on my sister and I and then was able to get down, and able to do it rather quickly as well. I've never attempted to do it to myself.

My hair is rather unruly, yet I've managed to tame it when the occasion calls for it. I expect yours will be rather easy.

Mine is usually rather straight, though it gets wavier when it gets longer. Anna always said my hair was a bit easier than Edith's.

A little wave always helps, but curling irons have been greatly improved upon since the ones that you're accustomed to. Edith is your sister?

We do have the irons, electric ones too. Those are a vast improvement in time spent.

Yes. Unfortunately.

They have, like most things, been perfected over the last 100 years.

I sense a bit of sibling rivalry.

It seems the rate of perfection moved so quickly over these hundred years as opposed to the last ones.

More than a bit.
