What the fuck just happened? Why is this a thing that has to happen? Let's put our minds together for figuring out a way to not get any memory dumps. I'd like to hear some ideas. Magical. Scientific. Whatever we've got here.

[There be spoilers for The Magicians, season 3 up to episode 7 in here. And yes, Margo's lost an eye!]

Clearly.

Not that I am aware of. And I'm not certain that the technology is available here to reconstruct it, although, an effort could be made. Would you like me to attempt building one of these devices?

Perhaps you misinterpreted my behavior.

I'm not going to give you any directives. I thought you wanted to be free?

You can do things and still be bored, you know.

I do. I am. I was just trying to determine if you were genuinely interested in this technology or if it was part of your earlier concern that I might have it in my possession.

I can't confirm that I experienced boredom on my last mission, but I will admit that spending two years alone can be tedious.

A little of both, to be completely honest. I get the usefulness of it, but it has some creepy practical applications and consent is non-negotiable to me.

That sounds like boredom to me. Doing the same things over and over, finding no joy in them.

That is understandable.

It was not entirely without its pleasures. I enjoyed watching movies from the ship's database.
