Something that I discovered today: Metalbending works on metals from other worlds, too. I guess as long as it's not platinum, it's fair game.

Also, one of the dwarves told me that I can have mithril made into clothing or something. I got four pretty decent sized pieces, so I'm wondering that I want to do with it now that I have it.

You've got some time to ask him. I'm 100% focused on mithril and smithing while we're here. It's related to that goal, but all of that has been put on hold while we're here, so I can properly work with the mithril once we leave.

Fair warning he can be grumpy.

But even if he says no, I have other projects I'm working on. And you can see plenty of things. Rather than purely/immediately designing everything about his arm, I'm working on developing my own baseline for prosthetic technology, so it incorporates other kinds and excises the problematic elements in the Galra tech. Vehicles are pretty fantastic. And if you've done some science/engineering, it's entirely doable to expand your horizons. I'm still trying to get a handle on Olkari technology. More difficult for the fact we don't have anything for me to work with here. It's just from what I learned already.

There's really so much we can do here. :)

In that case, I'd certainly like to see what else you've been working on. I've never heard of Galra or Olkari tech, though. Something from your world?

From my universe yes, from my world no. We've been out in the universe fighting for freedom and helping people. The Galra, it must be said, were quite advanced with prosthetics. They also harvested quintessence and used it to advance their space travel technology. However, their work with quintessence wasn't what I would consider ethical. So I'm not touching that.

I am planning on sharing my overall advances with prosthetics to whomever wants it though. It's meant to help people.

You need not explain any further how unethical they were. My world has those kinds of people in it as well.

Honestly, it's impressive that anyone has managed space travel. We hadn't gotten that far at all. Anything I bring to the table might seem primitive, but I plan on doing as much research in this universe as possible.

We can't prevent that, only stop them.

It's science. The Castle of Lion also has magic according to Coran. But it's a lot of science. Earth had space travel, within our solar system, when I'm from. Even that is backward compared to what I've seen since. But science is science. We can learn well beyond what we knew, and we can do new things with it. As much as people don't like reinventing the wheel, it's fascinating to see the different paths to the same scientific stopping points.

You make a valid point.

I'm Asami, by the way.

Cheers. Always happy meeting other scientists.

I'm Pidge.
