I can see how it's better. Mostly, I just miss the sound of the ocean. And the sight of it. I can swim in my new saltwater pool here, and I can take a long trip to visit the actual ocean, but it's not the same. I know you don't miss water, but it's kind of like how I can imagine you'd miss your trees.

Katniss took care of them while we were mermaids. I trust her, and you, to do that. I just worry that if that happens more than once they'll start being angry, or not trusting their mom and dad to be there for them.

You don't have to go in the water for my sake. But you can come with us to the beach! I got a free trip to the beach from Santa for the whole family, and I'm sure we could get you a ticket too.

We did try to explain it to them. I think Tristan understood it, a little bit, but it still upset him. Magda is still a little too young to really understand something like that.
