"A New Year's resolution is a tradition, most common in the Western Hemisphere but also found in the Eastern Hemisphere, in which a person resolves to change an undesired trait or behavior, to accomplish a personal goal or otherwise improve their life." (Wikipedia)

Anyone got any good ones?

All right. I looked at your wikipedia thing.

You mean that every person in the world who can get on these internet boxes can just ... dump information there?

Anyone can sign up to edit it, and then other people can change it again if they think it's wrong. You normally have to say where the information came from so people can find it themselves if they want to - at the bottom of the page you can see a lot of numbered links and names of books. If something's very obscure it might not get as much fact checking but usually enough people are looking at it that mistakes get caught fairly quickly so it's a good overview.

It seems like a lot of work to check on everything being true.

Yeah, the idea is that there are a lot of people who just keep an eye on the things they're interested in. That way it gets covered fairly well.

Most places didn't before the internet, either. There were a few famous ones, but for the most part it was difficult to find information that wasn't in the mainstream.

I think Kagome has the internet in her time.
