the goddess' harp is not an instrument i expected to see, but on the other hand now i can once more practice. it has been a while.

[bellamy + percy]

you two are the ones i know hail from these lands and i have a question surrounding it's currency. mostly, is about 4000$ a lot? what can i buy with it?

rupees are so much easier.

[steven universe]

i received some money. what would you like for a gift?

Is this a device from your home world?

in a ways, yes. it is a harp, one that belonged to hylia herself. it was lost in my time.

I would love to see it if it is not too much trouble!

it is no trouble at all.

I read your description of the harp. Does its divine origin give it magical properties?

The Wizarding World uses it's own money - Galleons, Sickles, Knuts - but since I've been here, I've had to familiarize myself with Muggle money out of necessity. $4,000 is nearly £3000, so I'd say if you were frugal, you could live comfortably for several weeks.

in the time of hylia's first reincarnation, it could open portals to different places within hyrule, but the ancestor who had it before me never used it that way. so yes and no. would you like to see it?

[first filter]

there are different currencies? i am never going to get used to that.

well i was going to use it for gifts. perhaps i should not?

oh, i have your maps by the way. would you like me to drop those off?

It still makes music, I assume? Yes please, I'd be very interested to listen to you play. I've never known anybody who could play the harp before.

There isn't any Wizarding money here, but different countries have different currencies. Where we are in America, dollars is the only one you need to concern yourself about. It's when you want to travel out of the country, you'll have to look up the exchange rate and such.

It's your money, Zelda. You may spend it any way you wish.

Yes please, I would like that very much. When would you be able to do that?

beautifully so. one might think it would be too old, but it still looks just as it did when hylia held it. i suppose divine instruments never really tarnish. and i would be happy to. it has been too long since i practiced.

[first filter]

oh goddesses. i shall remember that. i still think rupees are more convenient. everyone in hyrule accepts those.

i will think on it.

i have no plans so whenever you have a free moemtn i shall drop by.

Bring the harp when you come with the maps? I'm preparing a late lunch right now, if you want to come over we can share that? My brother isn't at home, so that would be ideal.

There's actually a country on this planet that calls it's money 'rupees', but I'd be very surprised if it's the same money that you're used to. Have you very heard of India?

i'd be delighted to on both cases. i shall be there swiftly.

i'm afraid i have not. the rupees i know are crystalline in shape, and come in various colours, which is how we assign their value.

We can chat while I wait for your arrival.

Ah, well the rupees of this world are either coins or paper money, like the dollars and cents we know in Tumbleweed. Not at all crystalline, though I'd be curious to see what one looks like if you have any on your person. How much many of your rupees is, say a loaf of bread, in your world?

exactly. it is very convenient to do so.

sadly i have none. i am not expected to carry them when i am within the castle. once outside i carry them, but before i came here it had been a while since i had been outside of the walls.

a green rupee is worth one, and that is what one pays for bread. but after everything i set aside some of the budget so people could attain bread without having to worry about having the rupee's for it.

I'm happy for you, Zelda. There's nothing like getting something back that's important to you.

You're welcome. Maybe it'll snow again and we can go sledding.

A few simple things I thought were nice. A couple of flowery rings, this pretty bath set, and a food steamer.

It's a lot of fun!
