Who: Peggy Carter & Wally West
Where: JJ's Diner
When: A couple of days after they both get out of Quarantine
What: Catching up, comparing notes
Rating: Low?
Status: Incomplete

Peggy had taken the couple of days since leaving Quarantine to try and adjust as much as she could to the new situation that she had found herself in. It was unusual, perhaps the most unusual situation that she had experienced which said a lot about it but despite that she wasn't finding it that hard to adapt too. She was of the mind if she expected the unexpected and then twice more unexpected than what she could think of it wouldn't be too bad.

It was fairly simple despite that. People came from various worlds and times to this place and then unusual occurrences happened.

There just wasn't a limit to how many different worlds there were that people could come from or times. Once you had your head wrapped around that, then it truly wasn't too bad. She had a feeling that she would continue to meet a wide range of interesting people though over the next little while. She couldn't help but wonder how the locals dealt with it. It seemed to be something no one really talked about.

Having organised to meet Wally for lunch today, she made her way to the diner and found a table for the two of them. Grabbing a couple of menus and ordering herself a cup of tea she waited for him to arrive. The two of them had talked a fair bit while in Quarantine. It passed the time and she was interested in getting to know him. She was curious as to what he might have learned since they had been released. She didn't think for a moment that she had learned everything that there was to know and regardless it would be nice to see him.

Sliding into her seat again, Peggy waited for Wally to join her at the table. She listened to what he had to say intently, curious about his hometown, or was it homeworld given the situation they were in? Peggy didn't truly know.

"I admit I never actually made it out to Nebraska but it sounds nice. There's something charming about a small town. I mostly spent time in New York and Los Angeles but that was were work was situated," she explained.

"It's interesting here, I shall give you this. So many different worlds and people here. I sometimes wonder if there's an end of possibilities of people and worlds that we can encounter. There's at least two or three alternative versions of my world represented here," she admitted. "It does make things easier, yes. A couple of good friends of mine are here and others from my world but are from much into the future. You know someone I think you said or did I imagine that?" she asked curiously.

"Charming is one way to describe it. I would have went with dull or boring." Wally chuckled a little to himself. He definitely preferred the city. There was more opportunity to do things in the city and it was away from his parents, but that was something he wasn't going to ever go into - let alone with a woman that was almost a stranger. "I've been to New York. Like yourself, was based there for work for a little bit."

It wasn't the first time he had heard someone say that there was a possibility of there being an endless array of worlds represented here. In fact, Wally was convinced it was fact.

"You didn't imagine it. I know a few someones here, actually." Wally supplied politely, storing away the knowledge that his theory about different eras was correct too. "My best friend and his brothers are here. As well as people that know an alternate version of me in another world."

"Each to their own," Peggy said with a smile. She had often heard small towns described as boring and she supposed spending so much time in such a smile town might make you think that. They were unique and even cute to visit for short periods of time though and that could she supposed count for the difference of opinion. "How did you find it compared to your town?" she asked curiously.

"I thought so. That's interesting that there's another version of you here. I'm glad you have those connections, it does make it easier. I've got a couple of dear friends and some alternative versions of one of them too as well as friends of theirs which is helpful," she agreed.
