Asking for things from "Santa" makes me really nervous. How do we know it isn't some kind of trick? That it'll work, but it'll be all messed up, or it'll take something else in return?

My guess is we don't. I guess we just have to decide if the reward might be worth the risk.

Don't ask for anything that could turn against you somehow.

If I were to ask for anything I think it might be a plant. But of any plant I could think of, there could be a universe where it's poisonous.

Well, if it's something bad, I imagine whoever is behind it will likely get their butts kicked by SOMEONE here. But honestly, I am more expecting it to have limits. Easily, there's a person I'd ask for first, and I am sure I'm not alone in that. But I doubt that would work. So, I am trying to think about what's reasonable that I want.

Yes, but if that can be avoided by just not asking for anything, that would be my preference. The last gift we got were the gremlins, and we ended up having to kill those.

It's a matter of choosing prudently then. If it's tech, I can probably handle whatever gets attached to it. So... a balance between what you want and what you can handle going sideways?

I recall reading some references to those, but I arrived right after they were killed.
