Perhaps that and their central heating are the two most useful inventions to come from human minds of late.

There is quite a bit to learn about this age

Of course there is. Mortals are terribly busy creatures.

Terribly so, I fear. A blessing and a cutse.

A child She tended to me when I was injured and found humans more terrifying than a demon lord

Then perhaps she is wiser than her years.

I was mortal, once. A lord set to guard his people against invasion. When my days were at an end, I entered a damnation of my own choosing. I had thought to be rid of human affairs. Instead, I found myself bound to them, and to an annoyingly persistent bloodline.

She never spoke while tending to me She only gave me a smile

Humans are rather annoying in that manner

Words mean little without action.

So they are. Fortunately for you, my Master puts considerably more thought into her actions than some of her predecessors.

Did you keep this child?

Indeed. Arthur would have set me the task of removing you from this world and any other, if he could stomach what that might mean. Such a frustrating man.

For a time But following me is far too dangerous for her So I left her in a village so she would be safe and cared for I had just visited her with a new kimono when I was brought to this place

Interesting I will admit to not having the same love for humans as my father did but I will admit to some of them being rather tolerable

For the best, perhaps, if the village is worthy of her.

Humans are capable of great things. Sadly, not all of them are capable of realizing this.

She is at least better protected there and will not fall into misfortune in following me.

Quite so.
