I'm wondering if'n there are any spells that can be cast on objects to make them into a teleporting device?

I haven't ever created a portkey myself but I understand the theory behind it. I'm already--- I'm more than willing to put some research into it and give it an attempt for you, Rogue. Traditionally, portkeys aren't charmed to only respond to specific people, but that doesn't mean it can't be. I'd have to sit down and think about potential charm work but it could be possible.

Any help you can offer would be great, Albus. I'd want it to only be something that'd work for the Displaced. Really ain't no point in creating a safe place in that island you warded if'n trouble can so easily follow us somewhere.

I'm already pulling out my old text books and looking into other matters, so I will add this to my docket. Though, one potential solution, is putting the object in an area with one of our charms that discourages muggles. Where they get too close and then decide they want to turn around. We could likely modify that so it doesn't affect any Displaced but would work on natives.

The other possibility would be trying to make up some type of network similar to the Floo Network. Have it connect between the spots.

I'm wondering how much of a direct hand various livestock need to be healthy and comfortable. Or can they be left to their own devices for several days at a time?

It depends on the livestock and the landscape. As long as they've got access to basic necessities, most can manage for themselves. We talking basic farm animals? Sheep? Horses? Cattle?

You'd want to check in on them if you can but like I said, as long as the basics are taken care of, they'd manage. The other primary concern will be predators.

A spell might exist, but unfortunately for you, I haven't learned it. I never needed to.

That depends. It'd have to be a form of magic I can use, or I have to get ahold of spellbooks from our universe or a related one.

If they nullify my mutant power, I still have my magic, and vice versa. If they nullify both, that's a huge problem.

So you're wanting a way to teleport away from town?

All of the Displaced. I got people who ain't mutants helping me with it. Only seems fair if'n all those they care for can come too.

Not with the wards I've gotten put on it. You can't trace it no more. Can't even get to it unless I give you access in some form.
